What you’ll do

In a few words…

Abarca is igniting a revolution in healthcare.  We built our company on the belief that with smarter technology we are redefining pharmacy benefits, but this is just the beginning.

As a COOP student you will support Talent Strategy projects that may affect other departments in the company and require their participation. You will be responsible to comply with deadlines and timeline, coordinating with the resources involved, and support monitoring the project’s progress from start to finish. You will support in ensuring everyone involved understands the direction and purpose of the project and that the results not only meet the company’s goals but are also consistent with company policy.

We seek those who are willing to go all-in on the last round of bets, even if they’re bluffing; those who are willing to try the same thing every night until they succeed, those who burn with passion and ambition, yet know that teamwork is essential. Is this you? If so, then get ready to:

  • Inspire everyone around you to reach Abarcan levels of awesome
  • Grow as a student, as a professional, and as a person (Make sure to pick the right side of the mushroom, Alice!)
  • Nurture your knowledge and strengths (Feed it like it was the day before going on a diet.)
  • Innovate with your ideas, creativity, and youth (Imagine yourself vomiting ideas… Ok, sorry, don’t do that.)
  • Transcend Abarca’s walls applying what you learn in every aspect of your life (This will happen naturally. We promise.)
  • Empower yourself to be an agent of change and continue finding better ways (Like a superhero. We might even let you dress up.)

 The fundamentals for the job…

  • Support the creation and management of various projects to standardize and strengthen Talent Strategy practice across the organization.
  • Support the creation of a variety of Talent Strategy trainings for the organization.
  • Support in revising Talent Strategy policies and procedures.
  • Create documentation and communicate ideas effectively to Talent Strategy leaders.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Support risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk.
  • Perform additional tasks or special projects as assigned.

What you’re made of

The bold requirements…

  • Be at least 2 years from graduating. (3rd year of college +)
  • Degrees in: Business Administration (all majors) or in Human Resources is a big plus!
  • Be an active student at the moment of COOP (Meaning you’ll continue classes after it ends because this was not a Break!)
  • Availability from January to May (specific dates coming soon!)
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week (Who are we kidding? It’s a full time job with immeasurable, invaluable experience.)
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (read, speak, write, fathom, fantasize, research, meditate, and meme) in English and Spanish. That means you should be fully bilingual.
  • Project Management knowledge is a big plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in US territory.

Physical requirements…

  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

That something extra we´d love to see…

  1. Detailed: You notice everything, every little thing; and you rarely forget any of it. Your attention to detail borders on photographic and your spirit animal is a hawk. If anything changes, you notice.
  2. Focused: You’re that little wheel on the lens that keeps everything in focus. Distraction? That’s not a word you know. Your goal is your everything and you don’t stop until you get there. Racehorses envy you because you don’t need blinkers to stay on track.
  3. Organization Guru: You crave organization like sugar, color-code everything, and messes make you crazy. Marie Kondo learned everything from you. You’re that little elf that organizes other people’s desks at night and details are your favorite drug.
  4. People Person: There’s nothing shy about you and you love to break the ice with strangers. Your magnetic personality brings people together in unexpected ways.

The above description is not intended to limit the scope of the job or to exclude other duties not mentioned. It is not a final set of specifications for the position. It’s simply meant to give readers an idea of what the role entails.
