About the Role:
The Accountant will report to the VP of Finance and help with all financial operations and accounting of the Airbase US entity. You will lead our efforts related to Billing, Collection and manage Accounts Receivable.
About the Team:
The Finance and Accounting team currently consists of a VP of Finance and a Senior Accounting Manager. The team is responsible for a myriad of finance, accounting and G&A functions which include revenue recognition, payroll, commission, performance bookkeeping, accounting, monthly close, financial statement analysis, performing budget versus actual variance analysis, tracking and controlling spend by different categories.

What you’ll do:

  • Bill all new and renewing customers on time and accurately while maintaining an up to date billing schedule.
  • Implement automation routines within Netsuite and/or with a new Billing SaaS platform to help scale the billing process.
  • Own and manage accounts receivable and help forecast A/R, Collections and Billing.
  • Calculate, monitor and improve our Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  • Post and reconcile customer payments in Netsuite.
  • Manage customer payment inquiries – respond to customer inquiries via email and reach out to customers for collection payments.
  • Interact internally with sales operations, deal desk, customer success, and professional services team to resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of corporate accounting principles and procedures in full compliance with US GAAP.
  • Work on ad hoc research projects as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Be an integral part of the accounting team and help close the Books within 7 business days.
  • What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelors in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2-5 years of working experience with Netsuite.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with SalesForce, and CRM and related tools.
  • Quick learner with the ability to multitask, work independently, think critically and problem solve in an ever-changing fast-paced environment.
  • Prioritize and balance multiple requests, projects, and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent and proven cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • We are a globally distributed and remote-first company, but we’re looking for a candidate based in the Philippines for this role. We’re open to working with candidates from anywhere in the Philippines. You can expect very competitive cash and equity compensation.
