About the Position
This position is responsible for setting the strategy of the business including full P&L responsibility. The position will oversee sales, operations, and developing the product roadmap. The VP, Health Business’s goal is to deliver a cross-functional strategy that supports the most efficient environment and empowers managers, agents, and cross-functional employees to achieve our financial targets. This role will collaborate with leaders at all levels of the organization and report to the Senior Vice President of Healthcare.


  • Thorough knowledge of ACA, STM, and ancillary health products
  • Establish daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and achieve financial results for the business.
  • Develop, along with the product team, the Health product roadmap to drive improved performance across the entire business
  • Determine the right carriers to partner with to grow the business effectively
  • Ensure the business is conducted compliantly and partner internally with compliance and legal to implement best practices
  • Direct responsibility for sales operations, sales (both agent and digital), and sales training
  • Responsible for monitoring and enhancing the quality of sales, improving retention of the business, and developing sales and product training programs 
  • Directing activities to maximize sales and margin growth and the achievement of planned financial targets
  • Develop, monitor, and execute compensation plans
  • Set department goals for meeting the scalability and growth needs of the company
  • Develop an ongoing distribution strategy for a 1099 and W-2 sales force
  • Partner closely with Compliance team to ensure proper controls are in place for sales and service
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years leading a highly successful team
  • Ability to design and implement a successful business strategy and have strong analytical skills to identify trends and patterns
  • Ability to guide and mentor leaders
  • Self-driven and possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
