What you will be doing:

  • Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with related multiple element accounting and the ASC 606
  • Experience on SaaS Revenue recognition standards and ensuring the company’s compliance, including SSP allocation. 
  • Document revenue processes including relevant controls, and maintain for changes in systems, process, or control environment.  Perform job specific Internal Controls compliance testing for the Company.
  • Review documentation, confirm readiness for launches, and fulfill enabling revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 and company policies.
  • Review customer arrangements to ensure consistent application of revenue recognition policies in accordance with relevant accounting literature and corporate policy
  • Interact with sales, legal, client services, and professional services departments in completing contracts and assessing contract terms and conditions for optimal billing and revenue recognition
  • Assist in month-end reconciliations, detailed review, reporting and analysis
  • Resolve revenue related issues and follow-up on outstanding items
  • Assist in financial audits and Auditor questions.
  • Perform ad hoc reports, analysis and special projects
  • Necessary skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant experience required
  • CPA licensed preferred/not required
  • Knowledge of SaaS/Software Accounting GAAP
  • Prior experience in a Staff Accountant role or an individual coming out of public accounting
  • Exceptional skills with spreadsheets and reporting tools
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Must exhibit exceptional teamwork
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company
  • Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce.com a distinct advantage
