Sales Operations Manager Role:

As a Sales Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in areas such as analytical hypothesis validation, business case building, and creating data-driven targeting solutions to help our sales teams find the best opportunities to land, expand, and retain our customers. You will liaise with senior leaders to define priorities, and work with a number of teams across the business to learn more about our customers, and deliver thoughtful analytical solutions.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, independent thinker, deeply analytical, and not afraid of carving a path forward in ambiguous situations. You will relish the chance to roll up your sleeves, get to grips with vast datasets, deeply understand our go-to-market strategy, and propose bold, innovative solutions to a wide variety of problems.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead a high-performance sales team and account executives, by executing targeted revenue goals and exceeding those goals in the emerging business across the world
  • Monitor, review and coach calls and demonstrations (demos) and processes on a weekly basis to ensure that they are following BuddyBoss best practices and procedures
  • Manage and oversee key sales strategies to grow the business across the customer base while engaging team’s assigned verticals
  • Develop and maintain executive level relationships and assist in the closing of competitive sales
  • Maintain and manage weekly sales activity to include call activity, leads generated, close ratio, demos completed, revenue within a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Ensure employees are leveraging other sales tools in an effective manner
  • Promote team’s personal development and recommend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills
  • Assist in the development and creation of new sales and marketing ideas
  • Manage and direct accurate data on customer products purchased to assist in the forecasting process
  • Provide recommendations and best practices for emerging online marketing opportunities and tactics that assist in achieving BuddyBoss organizational goals
  • Become a business expert by communicating the value of the product to aid in collaborative business partnerships with your team
  • Drive customer focus by understanding and listening to the customer perspective as it relates to their business decisions and activities
  • Promote a positive and professional image of the company at all times
  • Pursue personal development and attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills
  • Travel and attend meetings, conferences, tradeshows and other company functions necessary to perform duties
  • Keeps current on BuddyBoss’s product features, advantages, benefits, and selling points
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years of solution sales experience selling in digital media or a related industry
  • Strong sales process discipline
  • Consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals
  • Excellent understanding of growing and sustaining businesses in a highly competitive and changing marketplace
  • Prior sales team leadership experience is a big plus
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening) and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience developing a successful diverse and inclusive team
  • Motivated, driven and accountable for results
  • Proven ability to build and grow positive relationships and influence
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years of sales experience within a SaaS organization and a history of exceeding targets
  • Experience managing a high-performance sales team to include metrics and quotas
  • Software-as-a-Service vendor with inside and outside sales management
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with proven experience in hiring and building a highly motivated sale team
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable results
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast paced environment
  • Strategic partner, consultative and technically adept
  • Proficient in sales reporting activities and forecasting in a CRM system
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and manage performance of a sales team while supporting business needs
  • Experience leading a team to monthly, quarterly and annual quota attainment
  • Monthly Forecasting accuracy of 85% or greater
  • Ability to mentor team on negotiating and solution selling strategies to effectively close contracts
