Job Purpose:

The role is responsible for our primary stack of .NET and a broad array of other technologies to deliver our products. We use C#, ASP.NET, Web API and Windows Services on the server and SQL Server as our main data store. On the client side, we are using HTML, CSS, jQuery, Vue.js and Bootstrap to create responsive interfaces. As a Staff Software Engineer you will be focused strategically on a product.

In this role you should be able to prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery and excellent software engineering skills. Creative engineering balanced with high quality and a customer focus. Must be able to work across multiple facets of the project and juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time. Strong analytic capability and the ability to create innovative solutions.

Job Location:

The position is remote/home office.  Must be located in Boca Raton, FL or Alpharetta, GA area. 

Essential Functions:

  1. Collaborate with other developers and engineers to design, build, and maintain applications
  2. Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions
  3. Build applications for various platforms using common frameworks, including .Net
  4. Write clean, testable code using .NET programming languages utilizing in-depth development, technical and design expertise in .NET, ASP.NET, C# and SQL-Server
  5. Follows company software development standards and best practices
  6. Develop technical specifications
  7. Estimates development tasks based on the appropriate business constraints
  8. Review and refactor code
  9. Document development and operational procedures
  10. Reviews and validates implementations of self and others to ensure they meet requirements and match the specifications
  11. Mentors and supports junior developers’ work
  12. Enforces and evolves software development standards and best practices
  13. Troubleshoot software issues
  14. Provide on-call support as necessary



Required Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. At least 8-12 years professional experience in all stages of definition, design, implementation, testing, and deployment of web-based software solutions 
  3. Experience in the following tools/technologies: ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, .Net core, message queueing, HTML and JavaScript, knowledge design patterns and architectural concepts(MVC, DI, Restful API, Microservice)
  4. Hands on experience using testing frameworks (i.e. NUnit, Visual Studio, xUnit, etc.) and TDD
  5. Experience in cloud based infrastructure development such as Azure or AWS
  6. Experience with Agile (Scrum) Software Development Process and methodologies
  7. Experience with database management and security
  8. Direct experience with source control such as git or git hub and development of branching/merging best practices
  9. Direct experience developing and maintaining enterprise multi-tenant Saas systems.
  10. Direct experience leading a team of developers.
  11. Hands on experience using testing frameworks (i.e. NUnit, Visual Studio, xUnit, etc.) and TDD
  12. Analytical skills
  13. Communication skills


Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. Master’s degree or higher

Expected Competencies:

  1. Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
  2. Ability to pay attention to programming style and neatness
  3. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
  4. Ability to train, mentor junior colleagues with patience with tangible results
  5. Ability to lead a team of developers

Might be good for Staff Software Engineer and above to know and understand some DevOps technologies, since DevOps is a combination of Devs, QAs and Operations.
