Chairish Inc. is looking for a Business Development Representative to generate a consistent and healthy pipeline of new members joining our Trade Program. In this position, you will focus on outbound prospecting activities while hosting discovery conversations to uncover and understand buyer needs. You’ll collaborate with various internal teams, specifically the Account Executives, to provide an exceptional customer experience throughout the entire sales process. This role is remote eligible and will report to the Director of Trade Sales.


  • Welcome all new Trade Members to our Trade Program and make a positive first impression through outbound outreach

  • Utilize active listening skills to understand and uncover client needs to effectively educate them on how Chairish can solve for them

  • Research business accounts, identify key players and generate new business through outbound prospecting activities such as cold calls, email campaigns and social media outreach

  • Identify and generate sales opportunities for Trade Account Executives

  • Meet/Exceed new business quota

    Your Experience & Skills

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills

  • Strong critical thinking skills

  • Self-starting individual that is highly motivated and driven

  • Strong rapport building skills specifically over the phone

  • A desire to grow and advance a career in sales

  • Ability to multitask, take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus

  • Knowledge of home design is a plus

  • Preference given to candidates with experience supporting an E-Commerce marketplace – including product lines, pricing, delivery times & methods

  • Understand the competitive landscape to best position Chairish in the market

  • Proficient with web based platforms and tools such as Google Docs and GMail
