Cmed Technology occupies an exciting position as a developer of cutting-edge technology for the capture and management of clinical trials data. As adoption of our revolutionary new software, encapsia, gathers pace, we need a Solutions Engineer to extend our team. The role can be remote anywhere in the US, UK, or office based in West Sussex.

THE ROLE:

To manage relationships with assigned customers of Cmed Technology and ensure expectations of the end user are managed appropriately.  To architect and support the Project Managers in roll-out/adoption of Cmed Technology products into the customer base. This role involves management of project management staff as well as mentoring and training together with project management of their own projects, as necessary. The Program Manager will also act as adjudicator in matters of conflict within the projects they have oversight of and be responsible for escalating as required to senior management.

  

Principal Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Management (internal and external)

  • Manage the expectations of end users of Cmed Technology products
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with assigned clients and internal staff such as department heads and managers
  • Responsibility for projects managed within the Cmed Technology project management group
  • Act as the customer representative internally and as Cmed Technology with customers
  • Be responsible for conflict resolution within assigned projects, utilising senior management as appropriate
  • Actively manage risk & change across projects in collaboration with appropriate staff e.g. head of compliance, department heads, etc.

 

Team/Line Management

  • Support line reports in project planning, conduct & budget management
  • Provide training to line reports where applicable
  • Provide mentoring and other support to line reports and other delivery staff as required
  • Provide advice and support on matters of customer management

Resource planning

  • Work with Senior Management to agree project resourcing
  • Monitor ongoing projects to ensure the best use of available resource, liaising with Senior Management as necessary
  • Monitor and report on progress across projects
  • Ensure encapsia versions are consistent and appropriate and updated in a timely manner.

 

General Direction and Support

  • Provide leadership to the Project Managers developing an appropriate environment focusing on quality and timeliness of delivery
  • Provide expertise into the development, maintenance and monitoring of standards and processes
  • Provide expertise and direction to development of program/project management tools, as necessary
  • Contribute to the continuing refinement of Project Management roles
  • Contribute to the development of working models enabling clear definition and boundaries of the different roles involved in a project

This role could be perfect for you if you have experience of:

    • A degree in life sciences or equivalent
    • 5+ years of experience in SaaS project and client management
    • 3+ years of experience in people management and resource coordination
    • In-depth knowledge of clinical trials and associated data capture, cleaning, and monitoring processes from Phase I through regulatory submission.
    • Detailed knowledge of the regulatory guidance and directives pertaining to clinical trials and associated software provision
    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) able to express complex ideas and effectively problem solve.
    • Positive attitude and ability to manage a remote team of professionals.
