As a new function at Degreed, the Business Transformation Consultant will help to optimize the organization capabilities to deliver the next level of growth of the company. The aim is to evolve changes to processes, people or systems (technology) to better align the company with its business strategy and vision. The ideal candidate is both business savvy and people focused, possesses excellent strategic thinking, analytical, communication &  presentation skills,  creative/solutions oriented, collaborative, strong interpersonal skills to contract at all levels of the organization, with a proven ability to execute with detail and operational excellence. 
This role will report to the SVP Global Business Transformation & Optimizations (BTO) who oversees the Program Management Office.

Day In The Life

  • Work closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify change efforts, identify gaps and make recommendations for individuals and teams
  • Act as coach and internal change consultant to sponsors and project teams
  • Provide strategic and execution plan approach,  project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Design and implement change management deliverables/activities such as: readiness, communications plan, training plan, education materials, and user adoption metrics
  • Understand process impacts driven the changes, documents, and support activities as required
  • Work with enablement teams to deliver training and knowledge transfer to end users as needed
  • Facilitate project planning and execution
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Who You Are

  • Proven work experience in a change management role, understanding change management principles and methodologies, minimum 5-10 years experience
  • Ability to spearhead the planning and execution of the change management programs
  • A solid understanding of how people react to organizational change
  • Excellent organization, time management, business development and communication skills
  • Creative, Problem Solving, Solutions Oriented, Strong Analytical skills
  • Consulting experience
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives & internal cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills to creatively convey complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • What Will Set You Apart

  • Thorough understanding of Human Capital Management enterprise software SaaS, and background in L&D or Talent Management is a plus
  • BS degree and/or Master degree in fields or certifications such as organizational design, organizational development, or change management is an asset
  • Work Environment & Physical Demands
    Degreed is a remote-first company; however, our roles are open to in-office or flex work if you live in a city with a physical office location (when it is safe to return to the office). If this role has the opportunity to operate 100% virtually, it will be from your home office within any state or country that Degreed is authorized to do business. If this role is based in a Degreed office location, you will have flexibility to work remotely if needed. As a global business, we primarily collaborate through virtual meetings (Zoom), email, and Slack. You will be required to operate a laptop computer, computer software platforms, and other office productivity machinery as necessary in this role.  Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication.
