Account Supervisor – Remote Opportunity

HLK is growing, and we are looking for an Account Supervisor to join our team. This role may be located anywhere in the U.S. Reporting to the Account Director, the Account Supervisor is a leader on HLK’s larger and more complex clients. This individual will guide client satisfaction and growth across two or more pieces of business and serves as the primary point-of-contact for multiple Manager and Director level clients. They will be responsible for managing and mentoring Senior Account Manager and/or Account Manager talent, and supervising the work output across creative and other cross-functional agency teams.


  • Builds a business-forward relationship with clients through ongoing, consistent touch points, delivery of thought-leadership, and demonstration of business expertise.
  • Crafts presentations and Assignment Briefs to tell a clear and meaningful story, and to drive toward a productive outcome. 
  • Leads teams, as assigned, in briefing and evaluating work output to deliver the best possible client work.
  • Leads client and internal presentations to Directors, VPs and SVPs.
  • Leads annual account planning on clients as assigned.
  • Supervises 1-2 direct reports, and is responsible for their mentorship and performance management.
  • Balances and realigns (when necessary) the distribution of work between themselves and report(s) to meet client expectations and deadlines.
  • Identifies business-building and agency-building opportunities beyond those that are client-directed.
  • Forecasts for long-term business needs and guides profitability across multiple project engagements and scopes, for two or more accounts.

  • Qualifications

  • Minimum of seven years of experience in an account management role, preferably at an agency
  • Knowledge and understanding of marketing across multiple platforms and channels, including both traditional and digital marketing media, with the ability to plan and support fully integrated marketing programs and campaigns
  • Proven ability to foster and lead relationships with mid- to senior-level clients, senior managers, directors, and vice presidents
  • Proven ability in managing and leading direct report(s)
  • Experience managing revenue and profitability of accounts with revenue greater than $1M
  • Exceptional communication skills, including small-group and large-group presentations
  • Power user of video conferencing, presentation software and standard business software with superior organizational skills
  • Experience in Agriculture marketing is desired, but not mandatory
