The Mission

 

The Workforce Strategy & Planning department within People Operations is on a mission to scale HubSpot as a global organization. In order to do that, we are investing in building out a dedicated Recruiting Analytics function. Our goal is to help ensure we are setting attainable hiring goals for our Recruiting organization, assessing productivity KPIs effectively, and proactively identifying ways to improve our candidate & hiring experience.

 

As a Data Analyst within the newly developed Recruiting Analytics team, you will own the reporting and analytics to support our global recruiting team. Your work will span from building and maintaining key reporting, to designing and implementing creative solutions for reporting and data gaps, to developing insights around recruiting efficiencies and opportunities. You will have the opportunity to solve analytical problems flexibly – some of the questions we’re looking to answer require flexible solutions. Your work will have an immediate and visible impact across the recruiting organization and all of HubSpot.  

 

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Provide analytical support to assess the health of our recruiting pipeline through operational reporting & by defining key performance indicators 

  • Develop data-driven analyses and insights to help guide strategic decisions for our Recruiting leadership team 

  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations to optimize and inform key recruiting processes.

  • Collaborate with our internal People Consultants to determine how best to forecast recruiter capacity relative to gross hiring goals at a global company 

  • Leverage dashboards and use other analytical tools (e.g. Looker, Google Sheets, RShiny, Workato, Workday reporting) in order to make informed forecasting/planning updates to tools & processes (i.e. hires/recruiter, ratio planning, ROI of coordinators, sourcers, researchers. etc.)

  • Partner closely with Finance to examine the ROI of different talent acquisition strategies and how to efficiently staff our global recruiting team to meet gross hiring demands

 

 We are looking for people who have:

  • 1-3+ years of work experience in a recruiting analytics, strategy, finance, or general business analyst type of role

  • Comfort and ease leveraging data to inform decision making and to influence strategy 

  • Experience with working cross functionally with business stakeholders (such as Recruiting or Finance partners), business intelligence, and other analytics teams 

  • Solid understanding of people metrics with ability to explain data insights to talent & business partners (Bonus points if you are familiar with Greenhouse and/or Workday data)

  • Ability to synthesize multiple points of view while owning a coherent action plan

  • Experience working with Looker or other data visualization tools to model data and build dynamic reporting; Experience with SQL or LookML. 

  • Experience with, or interest in learning, a statistical programming language such as R or python 

  • Google Sheets and/or Excel proficiency

  • Excellent communication skills
