We are looking for a hungry Technical Sales Development Representative to be part of our Revenue Team and drive a pipeline of opportunities. You will focus 100% on outbound efforts, targeting enterprise eCommerce companies with a focus on IT/tech leadership. 
Ideal candidates are self-starters with great work ethic, team players, experienced in selling technical products to enterprise clients using cold calls and emails. We provide an excellent team atmosphere focused on professional and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and engage with our target audience of technical stakeholders- from developers to CTOs.
  • Lead outbound efforts to secure qualified meetings via a combination of emails, cold calls, voice mails, LinkedIn prospecting, and more, with the goal of capturing and engaging technical leads.
  • Owning inbound channels- chats, demo requests, content downloads, etc
  • Think of creative ideas, campaigns, and constantly test outreach channels and messaging 
  • Update the CRM in real time, enrich leads, and use the appropriate software for outbound efforts (Apollo, Salesforce, Mixpanel, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Intercom, etc.) 
  • Provide a constant pipeline for AEs by consistently surpassing quotas
  • Strong written and verbal communication and an ability to quickly communicate complex ideas around a technical topic
  • Gain an unmatched understanding of Layer0’s value propositions and the tech that is behind them.
  • Qualifications

  • Ownership: This role requires an individual that enjoys autonomy and ownership over their role.
  • Self starter: This role, and Layer0 in general, seek self starters that hit the ground running and are not afraid of failure, because that’s how you learn.
  • Strong knowledge of web-based development and/or technology, JavaScript knowledge preferred
  • Ability to interact with software developers and discuss technical concepts
  • 1-3 years of business development experience for highly technical products
  • Goal oriented, tenacious and driven
  • Mid-market & Enterprise experience 
  • Articulate our value proposition with strong business acumen and technical expertise
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment 
  • Unmatched listening and documentation skills
  • Held a highly technical position before moving to a business development role; highly preferred
  • Nice to have

  • You’ve previously run an outbound program yourself. Be prepared to talk about how you sourced leads, how you targeted, your successful messaging, etc.
  • Experience with eCommerce, Retail, or related verticals
