NerdWallet is looking for a Senior Revenue Accounting Manager to take part in NerdWallet’s exciting mission to provide clarity for all of life's financial decisions. It is a great time to join our world class accounting team in the making within one of the fastest growing fin-tech companies.

The Senior Revenue Accounting Manager will be a senior leader within the finance organization with exposure to the leadership team with industry veteran executives that has built an industry-leading company and brand known for innovation, quality and objectivity.          

This person will report to the Corporate Controller and Treasurer and will manage a team of three people.   

Where you can make an impact:

  • Manage a team of revenue accountants and be responsible for all revenue accounting aspects of the NerdWallet business
  • Help define revenue accounting requirements on initiatives involving new product and market launches
  • Serve as a key technical resource/expert in applying ACS 606 guidance and documenting accounting conclusions on non-standard contracts
  • Key decision maker on continuous development of accounting policies and standard operating procedures
  • Head up training on revenue recognition rules, policies and practices within NerdWallet
  • Keep up with industry trends and build relationships with external technical accounting advisors

Your experience:

  • 10 + years of related experience including either Big 4 accounting, or a mix of Big 4 and industry experience with strong technical ASC 606 experience
  • You thrive in a changing environment across many different functions within the business and finance organizations
  • You drive continual process improvement agendas, and improve processes by automation
  • Demonstrate business acumen with the ability to provide solutions that drive positive results
  • Demonstrate effective leadership with relationship development skills
  • Proficiency with accounting & data systems/software applications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Large accounting system experience. Oracle Financials Cloud experience is preferred
  • Active Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; Masters Degree is a plus
