Sustainability Data Analyst, North America (Remote)

We are looking for a Sustainability Data Analyst, North America to join our team, reporting to the Director of Sustainability, North America.  This role will be responsible for the collection, synthesis and analysis of sustainability data for Oatly North America, aligned with Oatly global sustainability reporting, to build the sustainability case for our business.

Here are the things we want to hire you to do:

  • Lead the collection and maintenance of sustainability data for North America in conformity with Oatly’s global sustainability reporting standards and protocols to inform essential company processes, including but not limited to:
  • Sustainability reporting
  • Carbon footprint product labelling
  • Life cycle analysis
  • Business decisions impacting the departments of procurement, logistics, and operations
  • Serve as Oatly North America’s sustainability data manager and point of contact for coordinating with the Global Sustainability Reporting Sr. Manager to support the company’s sustainability reporting process
  • Conduct region-specific external and internal research and lead data analysis to build the sustainability case for relevant business decisions
  • Lead the synthesis and analysis of sustainability data from North America, with guidance from the global sustainability team, to inform progress towards Oatly’s sustainability plan goals at both regional and global levels
  • Work with stakeholders across the North America organization to facilitate reporting processes and build a sense of shared commitment to our sustainability plans and targets, and help them assess progress
  • Translate global guidelines into North America-specific protocols and user-friendly processes and work closely with North America Operations and relationship managers to collect data from our various partners within supply chain
  • Ensure the integrity and quality control of North American sustainability data
  • Provide pertinent regional content on climate and the environment for annual reports, other sustainability reporting requirements, and related materials
  • Serve as an expert resource to support and inform decisions around global sustainability data collection and system design
  • Here are the things we think you need:

  • University degree in sustainability management, or engineering, data science, natural or social science combined with sustainability studies and/or experience
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience with sustainability reporting, ideally from a similar position in an international company
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of reporting systems, standards, best practices, and applications or frameworks – must be highly skilled in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with sustainability data reporting standards and systems, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP), CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), and Science-based Targets Initiative
  • You are analytical, accurate, detail-oriented, and can work autonomously
  • You can communicate clearly about complex issues and information with people on an international level, both internally and externally
  • You are dedicated to sustainability improvements and can provide detailed analysis results in a broader sustainability context
  • Desire to think innovatively about the integration of sustainability data into business process and enterprise management systems
  • Improvement driven and has the ability to self-direct your work with our purpose in mind
