JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a strong Python developer to add to our voice platform development team.  A successful candidate will be responsible for upgrading our Python-based hybrid web/application server, using Python’s WSGI mechanism to integrate it with an external web server, and then for building and consuming backend web services to support healthcare applications on the new application server.  Preferred candidates will have prior experience with WSGI and securing services with OAuth2.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 4 years of professional experience
  • Both strong Python 2 and Python 3 development skills and experience on multiple projects
  • Experience migrating code forward to Python 3
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering field
  • Excellent and demonstrable problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in working with customers
  • Curiosity, a drive to understand, and a passion to excel and create satisfied customers
  • Being a self-starter who is also able to work in a team
  • Work must be performed in the United States and you must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States. Parlance will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.

BONUS POINTS

  • Familiarity with SQL and No-SQL databases, and using them via Python
  • Knowledge of healthcare standards like FHIR and Epic services
  • Experience in setting up webhook frameworks for event-driven communications
  • Contact center industry experience, preferably in the healthcare space
  • Experience building integrations across CRM and other contact center solutions

  • Work independently or as part of small team on projects

  • Ability to work entirely remotely using collaboration software and video conferencing
