About TempoPay

Redesign Health is launching a new venture, TempoPay, in the healthcare payments space that will make high quality healthcare more affordable and accessible. TempoPay is reimagining how consumers find and pay for healthcare services by delivering a seamless, simple, and consumer-first payment approach. The new company realized the status quo is insufficient: consumers face growing out-of-pocket healthcare expenses, providers are burdened with collecting payment from their patients, and health plans and employers often lack tools to steer members to high-performing care providers.  

The Director of Product will play a critical role in setting the product strategy, defining the roadmap, bringing to market the company’s first MVP, and building the next generation healthcare payments business.  

 

About The Job

As our Director of Product, you will drive the product vision and strategy, as well as execute on that strategy. You will own and build products from concept to launch, and have a deep understanding of the healthcare payment ecosystem and its key constituents: health plans, employers providers, and consumers.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining, iterating on, and optimizing the core user experience, back-end requirements, and metric measurement of features.

What you'll do:

  • Partner with founding leadership team to take MVP to market and beyond
    • Gain a solid understanding for what we are trying to solve, and how we can do it better, to guide overall product development and strategy
    • Gather business requirements from partners, potential clients, stakeholders, and internal resources to better understand problems and requirements to build an MVP
    • Establish optimal user experience, essential features for MVP, and dependencies
    • Own full product lifecycle, including workflows, wireframes, low-fidelity/high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and QA to test and improve product-market fit
    • Conduct user research, usability studies, and translate that research into focus areas, new features, and modifications
  • Establish the 3, 6, 12, 24-month product roadmap, while proactively iterating along the way
    • Select and deploy an infrastructure that will scale with the business and adjust to client feedback, including, over time incorporating HIPAA-compliant elements and newly identified features and capabilities 
    • Regularly product roadmap lines up with broader business objectives and user feedback
    • Launch mobile & web consumer products on various mobile native & webview platforms
    • Foster relationships with key stakeholders (management, operations, engineering, etc.) to ideate and prioritize new features
    • Articulate product vision, roadmap, and progress to prospective clients, partners and investors 
  • Institute product development best practices to build a robust, scalable product 
    • Collaborate cross-functionally and interface directly with our internal/external engineering resources to develop a high quality product
    • Manage internal/external engineering resources with scrum organization and ability to prioritize and demo features as they launch or as new requests come in
    • Own the iteration of design of these products with external designers
    • Meet the business’s demands on scalability, accuracy, robustness and speed to market
    • Partner with peers across operations and businesses to ensure UIs launched have a stable and extensible  framework to allow nimble, subsequent iterations 
    • Track and communicate key metrics to the broader team/key stakeholders

What you'll need:

  • Background
    • 7+ years of product management experience, with experience in consumer directed healthcare payments and have worked on tangential products such as HSAs/FSAs and understand how funds flow through the system
    • 2+ years of experience managing and building out Product teams, including being a part of an interview process and holding a rigorous standard for technical abilities
    • Expert ability to translate research insights and user needs into features and product improvements
    • Expert ability in developing a product roadmap to build a differentiated patient financing product, thinking critically around build/partner decisions
    • Prior experience hiring / contracting with development agencies for UI/UX, Research, and Engineering resources
    • Prior experience working with financial institutions and payment networks to build infrastructure to support payment
