Redesign Health is launching a new venture, TempoPay, in the fintech/healthcare payments space that will make high-quality healthcare more affordable and accessible. TempoPay is reimagining how consumers find and pay for healthcare services by delivering a seamless, simple, and consumer-first payment approach. TempoPay realized the status quo is insufficient: consumers face growing out-of-pocket healthcare expenses, providers are burdened with collecting payment from their patients, and health plans, and employers often lack tools to steer members to high-performing care providers. Enter TempoPay with a socially responsible approach that empowers the consumer.

The Head of Sales will be one of the earliest employees to sit at the intersection of fin-tech and healthcare to help transform how patients pay for care. The state of healthcare affordability is currently untenable & new innovations in payment tools and benefit design must be developed to help bend the cost curve.

In this role, you will build and lead a team of sales professionals and interface with the marketing team to fuel the sales process.  The Head of Sales is responsible for ensuring sales excellence, meeting and exceeding sales targets and building and maintaining a team of “A Players.”

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and oversee a national sales plan focused on driving profitable new sales.
  • Build a team of Sales “A Players” to ensure growth goals are met and the brand is well represented. Actively coach sales reps.
  • Actively identify market trends and opportunities, competitive threats, and industry drivers that may impact business and develop solutions around them with the senior leadership team.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop and execute marketing strategies aimed at fueling the sales process and increasing the market presence and adoption of services.
  • Develop a comprehensive framework for initiating and supporting enterprise relationships across key commercial segments including Payers, Employers, Brokers, and TPAs.
  • Develop strategic relationships with channel and distribution partners to further TempoPay’s offering.
  • Assist in identifying new opportunities and gaps through strategic relationships with top executive leaders from the healthcare space.
  • Deeply understand market dynamics in the fintech space including key competitors, constituents and other factors affecting healthcare payment.

What you’ll need:

  • Background
    • 10+ Years as an accomplished, top-performing sales team leader. Proven ability to effectively build and lead a winning team.
    • 3+ Years’ experience at a startup/growth-stage organization
    • Strong ability to identify and attract sales talent and effectively train, motivate and coach a sales team.
    • Ability to create measurable objectives/quotas and set expectations, manage and provide feedback.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and successful application of consultative selling skills.
    • Experience building partnerships with employers, payers, and TPAs to leverage and develop products to help improve the experience of paying for high-quality care.
    • Working knowledge of health plan benefit design, provider contracting, and provider network access/design.
