Waitr’s proprietary in-stadium delivery technology now provides an enhanced fan experience at sports and entertainment venues, allowing fans to place orders from their favorite in-stadium concessions, directly from their seats through its ASAP platform. Additionally, Waitr, soon to be known as ASAP, facilitates access to third parties that provide payment processing solutions for restaurants and other merchants. They provide a convenient way to discover, order and receive a wide variety of on-demand products – ASAP. As of March 31, 2022, they operate in approximately 1,000 cities throughout the United States.
Job Summary
The entry level GL Accountant is responsible for a wide range of accounting duties related to financial records. Primarily responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts as well as ensuring data accuracy. At the end of the month or year, general ledger accountants record information such as accrual, deferral, reclass, and interdepartmental entries into the company’s accounting ledger.  May complete additional responsibilities on an as needed basis depending on the business needs.

Job Functions

  • Analyzing and interpreting financial information.
  • Provide assurance that information complies with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Perform account analysis to make sure that entries and balances are accurate.
  • Ensure that all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Assist in maintaining schedules required for completion of external audits.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

    • Required Education and Experience / Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred),  or two to three years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Highly skilled in Excel
  • Experience using an automated Accounting system
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player

  • Sitting at a desk for long periods throughout the day
  • Use of computer, monitor, and keyboard for 8+ hours per workday to complete work tasks
  • Conduct and participate in virtual meetings, and successfully communicate verbally and in writing with others
    • Work Hours:
  • Typically Monday through Friday, 40+ hours per week.  More hours will be required during busy times to meet required deadlines and workloads. 
  • Travel is not required.
