DuckDuckGo
DuckDuckGo is looking to make the internet a safer place. Want to get involved in helping people control their online information? This company seeks to give users more control over their data and create a new standard of trust between websites and users. They distinguish themselves from other search engines by not profiling its users, and by showing all of their users the same results for a given search term. Given all of the privacy concerns among some of the tech giants out there (i.e. Google, Facebook, Twitter) as well as the users of those service, DuckDuckGo can be a great peace of mind for many.
DuckDuckGo is seeking passionate people for their legal departments and engineers. They want to continue to grow as they strive to increase awareness of online privacy.
Here’s what one employee had to say:
DuckDuckGo is by far the best place I have ever worked. My coworkers are smart, humble, and driven, and there are endless opportunities for growth. The company is structured so that you can participate in cross-functional projects often, so there’s a lot of opportunity to learn new skills and domains.
Currently, they have open positions for iOS, macOS, and Android engineers. Some of these positions require extensive experience in engineering and working with specific platforms. Those who have experience with iOS engineering, leading teams, UX design, and handling complex data structures, consider their Senior iOS Engineer position.
Once a year they host meetups around the world so the team can strengthen their bond.
