OpenTable
OpenTable is the leading provider of free, real-time online reservations for dining. Chances are very good that if you’ve tried making dining reservations online, you’ve come across them already. DoorDash
DoorDash is the largest food delivery service in the world. This company enables restaurants to reach potential customers they otherwise might not have been able to service. As you can imagine, DoorDash had a surge in popularity due to COVID, and has become a staple for many who wish to eat their favorite restaurant food without having to drive there.
DoorDash does a lot of good for local communities, as well. Back in 2018, they started an initiative to address the problems of hunger and food waste – Project DASH. (DoorDash Acts for Sustainability and Hunger). In short, this project consists of meal donations, monetary donations to Feeding America®, and reducing food waste. There were 6.5 million meals delivered through project DASH during the COVID-19 pandemic.
